## The Three R’s of Membership at First Family ### Why does membership matter? *And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-15* What is the essence of membership at First Family? It is more than simply “joining the church.” We identify three core elements of membership that can be summarized as “The Three R’s of Membership”: - **Redeemed (I am saved)**: a person is redeemed by the blood of Jesus and is a child of God through His infinite mercy. - **Relationship (I am loved)**: a person is part of a small group and is committed to growing in community as a disciple of Jesus Christ. - **Responsibility (I am committed)**: a person fully embraces the “one anothers” of Christian living and serves within the community of First Family.
